Cryotherapy

Updated: Sep 5, 2018

☃Human popsicle coming right up ❄️❄️❄️! We’ve probably all heard of #cryotherapy, but we wondered does it actually work? And what exactly is it supposed to do? .

Going into the therapy I was extremely sore (my calves were sore to the touch) from our workout at the Santa Monica stairs. I was excited, well shall I say hopeful, that this might help me not to feel like a 90 yr old woman 👵🏻.

Next-Health is the self proclaimed "future of health and wellness," (located in West Hollywood, Century City, and Santa Monica) and we thought they were really awesome! They use a cutting-edge full body machine. They do not use liquid nitrogen, as that can be potentially dangerous and does not evenly cool the body.

There machine is negative 150 degrees, you go in for 2.5 to 3.5 mins (burrrrrr). We put on #beatheadphones, played some #calvinharris and danced our cold buns off. And yah it was cold. All the protective gear was provided. The staff is super helpful, informative, and eager to take instagram worthy photo's to capture the experience for you. After all, if it is not on the gram did it really happen?

The alleged benefits include:

❄❄❄

Pain relief and muscle healing

Weight Loss

Reduced inflammation

Preventing dementia

Preventing and treating cancer

Reducing anxiety and depression

Improving symptoms of eczema

Treating Migraine Headaches

❄❄❄

In addition to Cryotherapy Next-Health offers various biomarker testing, genetic fit testing, thyroid panels, metabolic profiles, and cardiac panel to name a few. They offer IV therapy, vitamin shots, fillers, laser treatments, and hair restoration...take the hair off where you don't want it and get it back where you do!

After we finished we had a rush of energy. The next day I was actually less sore. It was a pretty amazing experience and something we’ll definitely do again. Thank you @nexthealth for hosting us! .
